This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning unique piece of unique art.

The inspiration for this fantastic lamp was a fantastic 1950's Spong Mincer. This was made in the UK. The Spong manufacturing company was well known in the UK for their high quality products

Firstly we gave the mincer a good clean and sterilisation. We then lightly polished the surface while maintaining the great patina it has. The finish was then sealed using a high quality clear lacquer.

To mount the bulb we fabricated a bespoke steel mount that was welded to the mincer.

This lamp has an antique style black light fitting. This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.5 metres long. There is a inline switch and plug fitted. All of the metal parts on the lamp are correctly earthed.

This lamp is finished with a stunning 40w squirrel cage Edison filament incandescent radio valve light bulbs. This gives a beautiful soft white light with the filament clearly visible when in use. It nicely illuminates the mincer when it's turned on.

The lamp has a handle made of oak, which has a fantastic age worn patina. We gave this a good waxing and polishing with a quality oak wax.

When lit the light looks stunning. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.
