This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art.

I have always liked the shape of vintage slide projectors, they have a real art deco vibe. I was really pleased when I found a 1950's Noris Trumpf 150 Slide Projector in good condition. It was perfect for conversion.

Norris projectors were manufactured in Nuremberg, Germany by the Ernst Plank company and this is a nice early example. This lamp also comes with its original case.

To start we gave the projector a good clean and set about the conversion. We removed the old integrated bulb holder and fabricated a new mount so we could fit a ceramic E27 bulb holder. The light was then re-wired with period style black braided cable. The lamp has a generous 1.5mtr power cable with inline switch. The lamp has a few very minor marks on it but nothing that detracts from the beauty and shape of the lamp

The lamp comes with a 30cm 40w Edison Tube LED filament bulb which gives a beautiful soft white light from the front and a simply stunning light pattern from the side, top and bottom vents.

When lit the light looks stunning as it casts the most amazing shadows. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
