This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art. Don't miss this as you won't find another anytime soon.
 
The starting piece for this lamp was a vintage brass telephone. Most of the components on the lamp were good heavy brass. It was badly tarnished when we acquired it so we gave it a good deep polish and it now has a lovely brushed brass finish.  To seal in the finish we applied 3 coats of clear lacquer. Its now ready for another 50 years !!
 
For the light we modified the original mouthpiece which allowed us to insert a custom E27 vintage bulb holder. The lamp was then professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable.  The cable is a generous 1.5 metres long and is fitted with a 3 pin fused plug and inline switch. The lamp is fully earthed for electrical safety and it has been PAT tested.
 
To put the finishing touches to the light we have used a smoked E27 screw fitting 40w Edison Teardrop Style Light Bulb (included). This gives a beautiful soft light and the filament is clearly visible when its turned on.
 
When lit the light looks amazing, casting great shadows. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.
 
The light is very versatile and can either be used on a side table, sideboard or even as a bedside lamp.
 
This is not just beautiful lamp but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
