This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning unique piece of unique art.
 
This amazing lamp was created by British metalworking artist Chris Walton
 
Meet Cody, a unique one of a kind found object robot lamp.  The inspiration for this lamp started with a 1950’s Miller Bicycle Headlamp (Made in Birmingham). It was the perfect shape for Cody's head.  His main body is a 1950's vintage Kodak Duoflex Camera. 
 
His hands are from an antique pioneer clothes mangle. His feet are from vintage lighting capacitors and scaffold clamps, and his base came from a vintage steam tap. The remainder of his parts are reclaimed steel and copper.   His head can be adjusted up and down which allows you to change his mood. The lamp is wired with period correct black braided cable and it has been PAT tested for electrical safety.

A little about the artist. 
 
Chris was born in Preston in 1967.  He is a retired Polymer Scientist and now creates unique lighting and artworks from his studio in in Penwortham, Preston. He draws on his experiences of living and working in Africa (where he grew up) and the USA. He has been featured in Reclaim Magazine and is an advocate for reusing and repurposing items to create unique items that are built to last !
