This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning unique piece of art.
 
This amazing lamp was created by British metalworking artist Chris Walton
 
Meet Charlie, a unique one of a kind found object robot.  The inspiration for this lamp started with a 1950’s Raydotr Bicycle Headlamp (Made in Birmingham ). It was the perfect shape for Charlie’s head.  His main body is a vintage horn from a 1940's motorbike 
 
He has vintage sailing yacht turnbuckles for his arms and legs, He has hand made feet and his copper hands are perfect for holding a flower .
 
The head can be adjusted up and down which allows you to change his mood (you will need to use a spanner). The lamp is wired with period correct black braided cable and it has been PAT tested for electrical safety.
 
Charlie is 46cm tall and 12cm deep.

A little about the artist. 
 
Chris was born in Preston in 1967.  He is a retired Polymer Scientist and now creates unique lighting and artworks from his studio in in Penwortham, Preston. He draws on his experiences of living and working in Africa (where he grew up) and the USA. He has been featured in Reclaim Magazine and is an advocate for reusing and repurposing items to create unique items that are built to last !
