I design and restore a lot of lamps and this is one of my absolute favourites

This is a converted medical heat lamp originally made in the 1950s by English manufactures Sol-Tan. The lamp is made up of a polished aluminium shade, steel uprights and a spun steel base.

When we found this lamp the paint was in poor condition so rather than restore it to it's original look we completely removed all of the paint and gave it a polished finish. All of the metal parts of this wonderful lamp have been clear powder coated. This gives a hard resilient finish that will last for another 70 years ! There are some very minor age related narks but this is 70 + years old after all and these do nothing to detract from the beauty of this lamp.

Electrically, this lamp has been completely re-wired to accept E27 bulbs. The lamp has a generous 1.5mtr power cable and an inline swith. All of our lamps are professionally wired and are fully earthed.

The light comes with a 40w Edison Globe bulb. This gives a beautiful soft white light from the front and a stunning glow from the dome and through the vent holes in the rear..

When lit the light looks stunning and reflector look amazing. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

The dome on this Lamp can also be angled downwards allowing you to highlight an object or area with the lamp. It can also be rotated on the base.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
