This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art.

This is a converted medical lamp originally made in the 1950s by English manufactures Barber. These are extremely rare now as they were only available on prescription and not available for general sale.  It has a fantastic atomic age mid-century style that’s unique to the period. When we received the lamp it had been repainted in an ugly yellow so we stripped it back to bare metal. We then gave it a polished finish and had it professionally powder coated with a clear finish. It looks fantastic !!

This lamp has been re-wired with period correct black braided cable. The lamp has a generous 1.5 mtr power cable. All of our lamps are professionally wired, fully earthed and PAT tested.

The light comes with a large 95mm 40w Edison globe bulb. This gives a beautiful soft white light from the front . When lit the light looks stunning, the photos really don't do it any justice at all.

The dome on this Lamp can be angled from straight up to virtually straight down. This means you can use it for virtually any type of lighting, Up lighting down lighting , corner lighting or general mood lighting

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of mid century art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come !

The lamp is in good overall condition with only a few very minor marks. Not bad for a 70 year old lamp !
