When we acquired this lamp it was full of grease and grime. We painstakingly cleaned it up and once the muck was off the handle it revealed remains of the original paint which was nice. We gave the handle 3 coats of Fides antique oak way and a gentle polish. It looks great !!. The original strap was split so we used some vintage leather sourced from an old camera strap to replace it. We finished it off with the original brass screws.

All of the metalwork was sand blasted and then polished. After polishing the cage was clear coated with a clear lacquer. It still has some kinks and twists in it but then so would you after almost 100 years.

The light was then professionally rewired with period correct braided cable and fitted with an inline switch. The lamp has a generous 1.5mtr power cable and inline switch. The lamp has been fully PAT tested.

The light comes with a Vintage Edison LED filament bulb. This style of lamp is excellent when used to light a corner of a room or a piece of art. Vintage inspection lamps are always popular as they can be used virtually anywhere in the home or Garage. 

When lit the light looks stunning as it casts the most amazing shadows. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of early 20th century art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
