This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art. It’s perfect for the Lotus or classic car enthusiast. It's a big lamp that makes a real statement !
 
The starting piece for this lamp was a 1974 Lotus Elite Cam Cover. I bought a pair of these from an autojumble a few years back. They were in excellent condition having recently been refinished so i didn't need to do much to them prior to the lamp build. It has some very minor marks on it but noting that detracts from the beauty of the lamp.
 
The lamp itself is made from 3/4 bsp vintage piping. A custom mount was fabricated to mount to the cam cover. The completed lamp has been powder coated in antique crackle silver which compliments the cam cover nicely.
 
For a light as cool as this we really needed a nice base. For the base we used a piece of vintage mahogany that we salvaged from a 1920's table.. This was fine sanded and then waxed.
 
This lamp has been wired with period style black braided cable. The lamp has a generous 1.5mtr power cable with an inline switch. All of our lamps are professionally wired, fully earthed and PAT tested .
 
The light comes with a pair of E27 double cross LED Tube bulbs. When lit the light looks stunning. The photos really don't do it any justice at all. These bulbs are readily available online and only cost about £5 each.
 
This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come !
