This incredible desk / table lamp is not only a fully functional lamp but also a stunning piece of art.

The starting piece for this lamp was a 1940's Swedish made Optimus No 411 Paraffin Blow Lamp. This was sympathetically cleaned and restored to expose the true beauty of the piece. To do this we lightly cleaned all parts of the blow torch. We then hand polished it to restore the finish . The blow torch has lovely engraving on the front . There are some minor dents on the rear of the blow torch and there is some pitting to the clear coat. All of this just show's the journey this vintage item has had during the 70 years its been around. The entire blow lamp has been sealed with 3 coats of clear lacquer to maintain the finish.

The end of the blow torch was then adapted to accept an antique finished light fitting. This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.2 metres long and is fitted with an inline switch and 3 pin fused plug.

To put the finishing touches to the light we have used a smoked E27 screw fitting Edison cage style Light Bulb (included). This gives a beautiful white light

When lit the light looks like a 1950's ray gun. It's truly spectacular and the photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
