The starting piece for this lamp was a Eversure Type 902 MK II Hydraulic Jack. These jacks were very popular in the 50's and 60's and they were even standard equipment on some Ford cars during that time period. This jack was sympathetically cleaned and restored to expose the true beauty of the piece. The silver body is back to its brushed aluminium finish and it still bears the scars of it's service life. This finish has been sealed in with a sprayed coat of clear lacquer.

The black parts on the jack were professionally powder coated in the original gloss black colour to further bring out the beauty of the Jack. The Jack has some fantastic marking on it. The front has the words Model No 902 in raised letters. The top of the Jack has a stunning knurled ring with the maker’s name Eversure, and the words Birmingham Eng. 

All in all this is a stunning piece of British Automotive history :-)

The screwed end of the jack has been adapted to accept an antique style gloss black light fitting. This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.2 metres long and is fitted with an inline switch and 3 pin fused plug. The light fitting has a shade ring so you can add your own lampshade if you like. This lamp is fully earthed and has been PAT tested for electrical safety.

The light is available with a 40w Edison filament globe incandescent bulb. This gives a beautiful soft white light

When lit the light looks stunning and the aluminium really shines. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
