4 x 1950's tilley lamps with RAL 3005 Hoods. Each one will come with 1.5m of Brown vintage style braided cable and T45 Warm White LED Bulbs.

The starting piece for this lamp was a 1950's British Tilley Guardsman paraffin lantern. We gave it a light restoration during which we cleaned up all of the brass and steel parts. . The dome has some small dents in it but they just add character.

To prevent the need for further polishing the dome was clear powder coated. This gives it a finish that will last for years. There is minor pitting to the clear coat, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this lamp.

The top dome was in rough shape when we acquired it so it was freshly powder coated in brown. The metal framework was powder coated in satin black.

The glass is original tilley. The bulb is retained inside it nicely. In fact, after the conversion you would never know it wasn't always meant to be an electric lamp.

The centre of the lamp has been adapted by us to accept an antique style light fitting. This was professionally wired with period correct braided 3 core vintage cable. The cable is a generous 1.5 metres long and is fitted with a 3 pin fused plug and inline switch. The lamp is fully earthed for electrical safety.

To put the finishing touches to the light we have used a smoked E27 screw fitting Edison Radio Tube style Light Bulb (included). This gives a beautiful soft white light and the filament is clearly visible when it's turned on.

When lit the light looks amazing, casting great shadows as the light bulb glows through the original tilley lamp glass. The photos really don't do it any justice at all.

The light is very versatile and can either be used on a side table or it can be hung from its carrying handle.

This is not just beautiful light but a great piece of art that is guaranteed to be a conversation piece for years to come!
