The HMV Cavendish heater was made inb the UK from 1947. It was a fantastic post war heater with a beehive design. It features a bakelite top with louvered bakelite slats and a steel base.

When we acquired this heater it was in pretty bad shape The bottom and rear panel were corroded and it needed a full re-wire.

To start we stripped it down and deep cleaned the bakelite parts. The base and rear cover were sandblasted back to bare metal and then freshly powder coated in piano black for the base and antique Ivory for the rear cover.  All of the remaining metal parts were polished and clear coated.

For electrification we used a vintage style bakelite E27 bulb holder wired with 1.5m of black vintage style braided cable with an inline switch. To complete the lamp we have fitted a smoked LED teardrop bulb. This lamp has plenty of space for you to change the bulb for a smart one if required.

The lamp has the following approximate dimensions.

Height - 28cm

Width - 32cm

Depth - 25cm

We make products that are as unique as you, so if you don't see a light that you like then let us make something just for you. We are happy to work on commissions both large and small.
