It was in pretty rough shape when we acquired it so we gave it an extensive restoration. This included sandblasting of all the steel parts. These were then powdercoated in satin black and they look fantastic. The copper bowl was cleaned and polished and then clear coated.  All of the brass hardware was replaced and polished. 
 
The lamp has been fully re-wired using 1.5 m of period correct black vintage braided cable. There is also an inline on and off switch and a UK 3 pin plug. The lamp is earthed for electrical safety and it has been PAT tested. The lamp has a vintage style LED Tube bulb. Its an awesome lamp that looks like a small radar dome !!
